Louth

St James church in Louth
Louth is an attractive market town on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Its buildings feature plenty of Georgian architecture, as well as one of the tallest and most impressive parish churches in England.

Pictured on the left, St James was built in the early sixteenth century and was a focus for the uprising known as the Pilgrimage of Grace.

Other local attractions include a small museum, and the public parks of Hubbards Hills, pictured below right, and Westgate Fields. Market days in Louth take place on every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday in the Cornmarket in the centre of town.
